Ding, ding, Level 50 :D

Say Oh YEAH!!!! Dinged level 50 today and travelled to the Northern Wastes. Now i think i need to get Elder gems or something to get the genesis key. Something like that. It's 150 things (whatever the things are i need to get)

Also...new costume slot :D Awww hell yeah!!!!!

*cries* Why won't you let me play???

Urgh, so I'm once again kicked out of my game :P

I got back in after my earlier issues and promptly teleported from the lab to do some other quests in the area, but obviously I have to return at some point. Went back in, finished off some stuff, but now I'm once again waiting to get back in.

Away from that for the minute, I have to say that this area is damn hard. LOTS of elite mobs in the area and the regular mobs pack a punch. Loads of quests are requesting 5+ groups to do which at the moment I just don't have. Might have to ask my guild for some help with them. I feel this area is rather difficult for your regular player. Maybe it's because I'm spellslinger and they aren't the tankiest role that I'm having issues, but I am dying a LOT.

Not much to report on today aside from my issues with this lab. I'm level 48 and so close to 50 I can taste it. Really wanted to reach it tonight, but this lab doesn't seem to want to let me. I do keep getting calls from my home-girl Drusera about various bits and pieces. And i ran into this little joy.

See the green and red caretaker? One always lies and the other always tells the truth. Ever seen the movie the Labyrinth? Yeah, it's basically that scene with Sarah and the doors, only this was Lyghtning and the consoles that had to be turned on in a certain order from the instructions they give you. The achievement I felt at cracking it was immense. Even if I was ready to punch them both by the end.

Also did a quest to grab some eggs from a ship wreckage and that was an acrobatic feat worthy of cirque du soleil. See that green water? Yeah you go in that you die pretty much. So I had Lyghtning leaping about, using her Wall ability to make jumps I was missing, nearly overshooting some leaps, all to grab some eggs for a blasted Chua.

And in my lab, aside from the crashes, i have the following bugs. See that floating console. See it? I'm supposed to activate that. HOW? It's above me. Even on Rexy I can't reach.

And this happened while I was running. both Lyghtning and Rexy fell into this blue void. We fell for a bit and then died. Fun times to be had in this lab.

Drusera and The Caretaker...I'll ship that

Odd right?

Usual fare of this is a Drusera centric post so expect spoilers to the game's story and lore :) I'm level 46 at the time of writing this.

So as I mentioned in my last post, my wonderful pal Drusera called to say she had more to show me. So after wandering round Malgrave, I hopped on over to Illium to visit my new-found god friend.

And I have to say I was somewhat surprised to see Drusera getting rather friendly with The Caretaker. I mean this isn't the first time she's seemed familiar with him, but the last time he was trying to kill me. In fact this time he was trying to kill me, but me being the kind friend I am, reset some of his circuits and suddenly, BAM, he remembers Drusera. He also stopped trying to kill me which was a nice bonus.

So yeah...I can totally ship this. I mean heck, if my sister can ship Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson from One Direction together, I can totally ship this. It needs a ship name though. All ships have names. The aforementioned one goes by the name Larry Stylinson on the great wide internet. I'm going to dub this one Carsera for now. Unless I can come up with something better.

Anyway, while they got friendly, I had the job of getting datacubes away from Strain monsters. Found out some really interesting lore too. Turns out the Eldan tried to kill the Entity, otherwise referred to in this blog as, Malevolent Presence or 'huge-ass-scary-monster-thing'. They failed, obviously considering the chat I had with him recently, and he killed them all. That's right, the architects of the universe didn't just vanish, the Entity killed them.

Although I did sort of meet one Eldan, though he's been transformed into a monster by the Strain and tried to kill me. Which he nearly did as when Drusera told me to keep him busy, that resulted in me charging around the room, firing my pistols in any direction and screaming 'I'm going to die' over and over.

I mean she's a god and I'm the one having to keep the humongous monster over there 'busy'. He also called me a pet. I would have loved to have kicked his ass over that, but the aforementioned running and screaming then happened. No ass kicking. 

There is also a really fun mind bendingly frustrating platforming section to this part. I love platform games so I enjoy the parts of the game that take elements of them and incorporate them into this. I just hated the fact I kept missing the damn things and falling back to the bottom.

After my trials were over, Drusera told me that the Entity is kept in the Lightspire she created. Now I'm curious to know whether that is the name of her tall bright tower (aka a light spire) or whether that is what it's called on this server as I'm on the Lightspire server. If anyone knows please do comment and update me :) It's one of those little things that will really bug me otherwise lol.

Now if you don't mind, I've been wandering round Grimvault and as it's dawn here in England and I am slowly watching the sun come up, I think it's time I headed off to bed XD

Malgrave and Artemis Zin

Been finishing up on some quests in and around Malgrave and is it just me or is the zone chat REALLY quiet round here? I mean almost every player I see is Exile so I suppose that doesn't help and any Exiles I see tend to be in my guild. Are people still on the lower levels? I thought most people would be around my level, at least those in the first wave of players would be. Got a few group quests hanging around, but i'm not even seeing anyone talk let alone say they're looking for a group.

Anywho, away from the chat or lack there of, I ran into a rather interesting quest involving an Elder cube controlling some pell. Artemis Zin rocked up with her cameras and got absorbed by the cube, Kevo went nuts at me...and then things seemed to go back to normal. Is this foreshadowing? I feel this is foreshadowing. Either that or it's a really random story segment lol XD

Got another call from my home girl Drusera, so Lyghtning is getting her pink assed booty shorts over to Illium to go and check what's going down now :)

Team speak issues and WIND SURFING!!!

No post yesterday...so sorry XD I literally spent an age trying to get Team Speak working on my computer so I could talk to my friends while playing. Finally got the damn thing sorted though and yay for being able to talk to others while playing! Even if said people haven't bought dinosaur mounts. I mean really, who cares about any of the other mounts when you can ride a dinosaur :)

So not much happened yesterday...though I did spend an awful lot of time dead. And this wasn't through mobs, or anything like that. It was through me throwing myself off of cliffs. Admittedly once or twice it wasn't my fault. Once I was getting chased by a dozen mobs, took a wrong turn and fell. And another time I got picked up by a tornado and the land was a loooooooooong way down when it dropped me off lol. Other times it was totally my fault because I wanted to see Rexy fly XD

But I did actually get a quest in the middle of all of this where I HAD to throw myself off the cliff and then wind surf all the way to the ground. That was pretty damn cool :D

Also got a fifth costume slot :D So i spent about an hour going through ALL the costume pieces I've collected up till now and deciding which looked good and which didn't XD Still not 100% happy with costume number 5. Think it might be because she's in booty shorts, but i wanted something a little different to her others. We shall see :)

Anywho, enjoy the pretty-ness of the area I'm in :D Look at all the crystals. Or as the Lopp would say, the shinies.

Because I loved this piece in game. When a piece of video game music makes you pause playing and think 'wow!', then it's a good piece of music :)

Hey, guess what? Remember that weird creepy ghost lady I found in Biodome 4 and I literally had no idea who or what she was? Now i know :) She's called Drusera and for spoiler reasons I'll be good and not say what she is.

After hitting level 35 I got a comm call about some portal in Illium (which, FYI, still kicks me out after about a minute or so of being there but hey ho) So I jump into the portal and get taken to some Eldan lab where Drusera appears, tells me her name and I proceed to follow her round. It was quite a cool section and really pulled me into the lore of this world. My issue with this area came at the very end when you have to jump into a teleporter...and I had a brief glimpse of Lyghtning falling, then my screen went black, I heard her die and the ghosty sounds that appear when you're dead, and my screen remained black with the words 'you've fallen into infinite darkness' or words

to that effect. For five minutes until I revived. Not going to lie, I was confused as the teleporter was the only way to progress. So I tried again...and died again.

So I checked the internet and no one had ANYTHiNG about this area except that you met Drusera there and could find some datacubes. I mean what? Give me something. So I tried a third time and actually progressed though I did nothing different. I don't know if you have to die or what at that point, but yeah.

Then after this part is over you have one hell of a fiery inferno to run through XD

Wild wild west

Just left Biodome 4 which is a shame because I loved the whole Wild West feel it had going. Plus aside from that glitch with the whole Lyghtning setting on fire, i've enjoyed the quests here. Well I didn't enjoy being bombed by Lopps but i guess you have to take the good with the psychotic crazy.

Though i did find a host roaming around the Biodome. Took a snapshot of her because i literally have no idea what she was there for. There didn't seem to be a quest assigned to her, she seemed to just be there.

And then i took down this guy. Look at that size difference. He's massive. Look at little tiny Lyghtning! Not to mention he was next to crazy huge worm thing. What was that mountain? It was like 'Honey I shrunk the players'.

So far though Carbine, I have to say, crazed bunnies aside, this game is awesome. I'm literally thinking about it all day at work and playing it as soon as i get home. The quests are enjoyable and i'm starting to get into the lore, though that did seem to be a little slow early doors. Plus the battle system is just awesome. Just been playing around with my abilities and i've decided on a new combo to really bring the pain to my enemies. Quite glad i chose the soldier path as well as it means i get to blast more things XD My main gripe at the moment is not having enough bank or inventory spaces for all my crap. I'm loathe to sell clothes just in case they look awesome on Lyghtning. I can't help it. Cosplayer mentality XD

Giant worm thingy

LOOK AT IT!!! JUST LOOK AT IT!!!!

Just killed this bad ass after hanging round for a party. Got joined by two fellow Dominion players and one Exile. Sort of felt bad as she was there by herself and so ensued a rather amusing series of using emotes to try and tell this Exile when we were going to attack. Was highly amusing, not least as the signal for launching our attack at that thing seemed to be me and the other Dominion players nodding 'yes' at her before throwing ourselves at it. She got the hint though :) Mission successful!

BioDome 4 Glitch?

Don't know whether this is a glitch but I just did some quest around the Scorched Expanse that was repairing vents/water coolers and for some reason my heat exposure chart just kept rising. I wasn't even in the hot area any more but it wouldn't go down. It got to 100 and i started to loose health and couldn't complete any further tasks because I was effectively taking damage. Dying didn't solve the issue nor did leaving the area completely via the teleporters. I had to completely log out and then back in.

So...England lost :'(

So England lost at football. Despite playing wonderfully to Italy at the weekend we played half heartedly again today and lost. Effectively we're now out of the world cup. As i'm practically crying in the corner of my room over this right now, have some pretty Lyghtning pics.

Currently in Farside and just done the jungle bio dome and have now made my way round to the desert one but had only just arrived there when the match started. Also took down Big Graw as I accidentally found him as a bunch of Exiles showed up to take him on. As much as i hate helping Exiles, I was glad they were there this time lol XD I haven't actually seen many Dominion players around Farside. Far more Exiles around at the moment. The place is practically bursting with tree hugging rabbits XD

Squirg

Currently playing around near the squirg quests. Took me ages to actually work out what to do with my squid thing following me round. Finally worked out he was to go on the heads of the Exiles with like 50 million HP. No way I was taking those guys down otherwise. But it's really confusing running round with so many Exile players. I keep getting confused with the new mounts lol.

Also took down the Exile Ravager with a pretty awesome group of people. Didn't go too well the first two times, but we got there. The second time was actually pretty epic as the Exile Ravager was dueling with one of our mechas. I was dead at the time and loathe to respawn as it was like having front row seats to Pacific Rim. It was an epic giant robot battle :D Plus as I was dead it meant I could just watch it unfold without anyone fighting me and spoiling my view.


Oh, and this happened while I was squashing Squirg eggs in some underground cave.

Lopp Wedding

As England lost...here are some happy screenshots of the Lopp wedding i did just like everything for XD Including finding where the groom had got himself caught. Damn rabbits.

Then in the middle of the wedding i found this mexican lopp and thought he was awesome :D 

Freaking Lopp

These little bunnies have had me running all over the place for flowers, shells, shinies and drunken grooms-men all for a bunny wedding. I'm ready to throttle the little rats lol. Had to have a quick assessment of my gear too as the enemies in this new area were doing a very good job of killing me. Originally i could only take on one at a time. A mob would KO me. Repaired some of my stuff though (what does that actually do?) And realised i didn't have all my best kit on.

Running really low of inventory space though and i can't seem to find a bank anywhere in Whitevale and am loathe to try and find my way back to Illium. My problem is i want to

keep all my clothes and gear to try and make nice costumes from lol XD

Heading round to the Lopp village

Whitevale is seriously pretty. I know every game needs a snow level, it must be like an industry standard thing, but this is such a lovely area to look at :) Plus the colours go so well with Lyghtning lol XD

And now Rexy and I are headed for the Lopp village. Really love these little bunnies XD They're so hilarious :D

And now i'm a robot

Whitevale is awesome so far :D Really loving it :) Though my first foray as a robot didn't go quite to plan considering i hadn't read the notes with the quest and launched myself at the first probe and got frazzled. I made it through though muhahahahahahaha :D Robot power!!!!!
