Darkspire Woods

So apparently i've wandered into Darkspire woods where all the monsters are slightly higher level than me and seem to enjoy killing me. Sadistic bastards :P Anywho i should probably find somewhere safer. Safer at this point is good XD

Back to the Future

I get that Wildstar is like Sci-fi fantasy....but Lyghting currently looks like Marty McFly from Back to the Future. She is rocking some sort of weird yellow body warmer and such a mismatch of clothing she looks like she fell out of someone's attic. I keep seeing people looking awesome and here i am, running around like some 80's girl band reject. I know we're supposed to be able to dye our clothes....when does that come into play because i really want to have some colour combo going that isn't just awful lol XD

We return to our regular programming

So came off Wildstar early last night for Game of Thrones...and then Game of Thrones happened with THAT ending and i was in far too much shock to blast things. Regular schedule of blasting things will resume tonight :)

Lopp's are soooooo cute

Glitterfur Caravan is my new fave place. How freaking cute are these little bunnies :D Seriously they're adorable. Though i had a quest to rescue some from spiders and that was mostly unpleasant. I hate spiders. They terrify me, so i was rather upset at the thought of the nasty icky spiders hurting the little bunnies who like shiny's.
But bunnies were saved and all is good and right in the world :)

Snazzy Glowy Quests

I have to say i'm finding the battle system rather fun :) I like jumping around with my guns and shooting things. It makes it all very satisfactory when they then explode lol. I also like how quest items glow yellow when it's something you need. As a natural blonde, and someone with no attention span at times, i like being shown what it is i'm looking for. Especially as some of the quest people are rather vague about what needs blowing up.

I fail so bad XD

So i got maybe forty minutes into the game before having my first major fail. Aside from the fact that i didn't see my first quest and ended up running (once i worked out how) all over my Dominion ship wondering what to do before going back to the start and following the quests, i also couldn't find my inventory. So i found some quest whereby you get a weapon from a Chua and are told to kill some monsters. This would have been fine had someone told me where the hell my inventory was. I ran round his little workshop for nearly fifteen-twenty minutes trying to find the weapon he gave me. I saw people run in, weapons appear on them and then run out again while Lyghtning played a fun game of how many times can i sit on a bench. It was frustrating.
I did finally find the damn inventory, bottom right hand corner of the screen for anyone else having issues, got my weapon and got started. But man that nearly killed me. I was getting so angry as i kept getting told 'weapon in inventory' and i was screaming at my computer 'WHERE THE FUCK IS THE INVENTORY YOU RETARDED HAMSTER!!!!!' Needless to say he didn't respond, but i felt if i was going to role play with this character i might as well get in the spirit lol.
Oh i'm also on Lightspire :)

What's in a name?

Holy crap it downloaded XD I had to leave my computer on all night, but i now have Wildstar on my computer and i made my first character ^_^ I would show you a picture but i'll be damned if i know how.
Looks aside however she's a female Cassian Spellslinger soldier called Lyghtning. Now when creating a character (and i spent a crazy amount of time getting her features just right lol) I feel there should be some warning text when it comes to naming your character. After trying out several names for her only to find they were already taken my sister jokingly told me to call her Harry Styles. You know, after the One Direction singer. Thankfully i didn't as i found out that when you input a name that isn't taken, the game starts. I would really hate to be walking around with a female bad ass spellslinger named after a boyband member. Sorry about that Harry.
So instead i got Lyghtning. Named after the kick ass hero for Final Fantasy XIII and the rather shoddy sequels that came after but those are a whole other rant on a whole other blog of mine. Rather aptly though, my characters name has given me a name for this blog. Rather than just call it 'Archer plays wildstar' it is now 'Playing with Lyghtning' after the song by the Wanted - Lightning. I know right, another boyband XD But seriously, since naming her that song is perma-stuck in my head.
So here we have it folks. Playing with Lyghtning...LETS DO THIS!!!!!!
